HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY ROOF?
HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER TO REPAIR OR REPLACE MY ROOF?
There are several factors to consider when deciding between roof repair and replacement. WSR is happy to offer guidance as you make your decision.
First, you must consider the age of your roof. Roofs are meant to last for lengthy periods of time, but if you are noticing damage to a roof that is 20 years or older, it might be time to consider roof replacement.
If your first hint of damage is a leak in the roof, let our expert team members inspect it. There is a chance that the leak is isolated, in which case, a repair is the best option.
But if there is extensive water damage, roof replacement should be your choice.
HOW DO I GET INSURANCE TO PAY FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT?
Some homeowner’s insurance policies cover roof replacement only as the result of an "act of nature", but even in circumstances when a storm is at fault for damage, some roofs may have exceeded their intended lifespan, and those may not be eligible to be replaced under the insurance policy.
However, your insurance provider may reimburse you for the damaged portion, or even all of your roof replacement.
Schedule a visit from one of our experts to look over your roof and provide an estimate. That way when an inspector arrives to your home, you will be able to readily produce anything needed – a copy of your policy, receipts for any work you have had completed, and our estimate.
The adjuster will use all of this information in his/her assessment to determine whether or not you are covered.
